Commentary: Again, Vietnamese officials display the Chinese flag with an extra star to welcome Chinese Vice-President visit to Vietnam. The Vietnamese are very concerned about the subliminal mis-presentation of China’s flag by the Vietnamese authorities. An extra star added to the China’s flag was speculated that the Vietnamese authorities wanted to submit themselves to China and be part of a greater China.
According to the literature, five stars symbolize the five major ethnic groups in China, the big star represents the Han ethnic, and the other four small stars represents other minority ethnics Hui, Mongolian, Tibetan, Manchu.
No officials have been reprimanded for their incompetence for not knowing the Chinese flag, which would offend the visitor. Nor is there a complicity from the Vietnamese authorities to submit Vietnam symbolically to be part of the Great Han China?
Vietnamese are very sensitive to the China’s imperialism as Vietnam was colonized by China for one thousand years and has subsequently been invaded by each Chinese dynasty since the Vietnamese independence. Throughout the Vietnamese history, there have been traitors, who brought Chinese troops to invade Vietnam in order to cling on their power.
The frequent mistakes made on China’s flag raised concerns of subliminal messages of China in the minds of Vietnamese people.

Time has come for the Vietnamese authorities to make excuses with the visitor about their wrong flag and time has come for the Vietnamese authorities to punish those incompetent people who made the Chinese flag with an extra small yellow star. People are very concerned and outraged about the secret deals between the two communist parties. People are concerned and outraged if the party and the state want to sell Vietnam out to China to become a new province of China?
